Course Description
This course will give you an introduction to basic networking and the associated terminology and protocols. Topics include the basic functions of the seven layers of the OSI model, different classes of IP addressing and subnetting, and router login scripts. You will learn the key internetworking functions of the OSI Networking Layer and how they are performed in a variety of router types. Sound confusing? It will all make sense soon.
 
Objectives
The objective of this course is to familiarize you with techniques used in basic networks. At the conclusion of the course, you will understand:
• What components make up local & wide area networks • Basic networking terminology • Basic networking protocols of the OSI model
