Course Description
In this semester, you will learn how to plan, design and implement the connection of two Local Area Networks. You’ll learn about WAN, TCP/IP and PPP. By the time you’re done, you’ll be able to solve network routing problems, identify ISDN protocols, channels, and functions groups, and describe the Spanning Tree protocol.
Objectives
The objective of this course is to familiarize you with techniques used to design and configure a basic network topology. At the conclusion of the course, you will understand:
• How to connect two LANs
• How to determine which methods should be used to provide the necessary connectivity
• How to troubleshoot WANs
• How to implement PPP, Frame Relay, and DDR
